Capturing your Kiddos at Home

Do you struggle with capturing beautiful portraits of your children with your camera at home?

I have a couple tips for you today, friends!

We are all stuck at home during this pandemic so I thought you might have time to learn some quick tips to capture your kiddos!

1) Turn OFF your on-camera flash. Then find beautiful, soft light and put your kiddos in it. Then capture them.

2) It’s not always about a smile. Some of my most favorite pictures of my girls are not of them smiling. We are not happy all the time and I love capturing serious moments in addition to the happy ones.

With that said, if you are really going for the fun, laughing photos, capture your littles playing a game, jumping on the bed, or doing something they love. This brings out smiles and laughter organically.

Also, I am not opposed to breaking out the butt jokes. And let me tell you, it’s not just the boys that think they are hilarious. My kiddos think the butt and toot jokes are laugh out loud funny. You do what you have to do, momma.

Hi friends! I am an accredited portrait photographer who specializes in helping women to feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful in front of my camera. I would be honored to be your photographer.
