DIY Family Portraits with a Timer

How are you going to get in FRONT of the camera if no one is behind it?

Well, friends, you have options with timers:

Iphone Camera:

There is a 3 second and a 10 second timer. Click on the button that looks like a clock. Choose 10 seconds. The con to this is that it is a lot of running back and forth. But, if this is your only option, YOU CAN DO IT! Count it as your workout for the day or have one of your kiddos do the running back and forth. It may take a few tries to get something you love, but it is possible!

DSLR:

It depends on your camera. Get out your manual or google it. Look up to see if your camera has an interval timer. I have a Canon 5D Mark II and a Canon 5D Mark IV and my Mark II does not have one. My Mark IV does (Marky Mark) and I go into menu and select the interval timer and set how many shots I want it to take ( maybe 20?) and how many seconds in between each shot (3ish?).

If your camera does not have an interval timer you can buy one. Make sure that you check if it is compatible with your camera.

You’ve got this, friends!!!!!
