Photography Tips for Small Business Owners

Hi friends!  I realize that you don’t always want to outsource all your photography; sometimes you need something in a pinch and this tip is for those times.

Here is an easy set up for something small – products, flowers, etc.

What you need:

  1.  White Foam Boards – these provide a clean, modern look.  I bought Elmers 16×20 foam boards from Target and come in packs of 3 so buy 2 of them.
  2.  You will need to either buy tape (white gaffer tape works well) to keep the boards together or you can set it up using boxes, pillows, for instance, to keep the 3 side boards standing up.
  3.   Space in front of a big window for good lighting.  Make sure it is soft, diffused light and not hard light which gives harsh shadows.
  4.   You can use your phone or your big girl camera to capture the product depending on your comfort level with each.

Hi friends! I am an accredited portrait photographer who specializes in helping women to feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful in front of my camera. I would be honored to be your photographer.
