Happy Mother’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day, Mommas!
Can we all agree to rest today? And order in? Or if someone in your family is an awesome cook, nominate them to meal planning for the day?
If you are ordering in and you are local to Wheaton, IL, can I please recommend the shrimp burger at Burger Social. It is heavenly, friends. Just sayin’. Or, another sandwich I crave is the shaved turkey + truffle and feast fries with artichoke aioli at Moveable Feast. To.die.for.
Moms are some of the hardest workers on earth, so in honor of Mother’s Day, let’s all take a well deserved break. And to help with that, I’m sharing some of my best motherly advice: It’s okay to say no.
Here, let me help you. “That’s not for me.” Or how about, “I don’t have the time right now.” And maybe, “That’s not my gift.” Or let’s get a hallelujah for a simple, “No.”
Now didn’t that feel good? And if you are feeling polite you can add a “…thank you” at the end, but really, are we thankful for being pulled in a million different directions by a bigillion people? No ma’am. It’s okay and my gift to you. Learn to say no, friend.
What’s your best motherly advice?
