Create a Beautiful Wall Display with Shelves

Are you trying to figure out how to beautifully display your portraits?

I have a great idea for you!!!  I installed 4 shelves – these are about 5 feet long but they come in other sizes and colors. I bought them on sale at Pottery Barn.

The frames – choose a couple colors you love that go well together. Find different sizes. I found the frames at Michaels, Target, and Pottery Barn. Pottery Barn sometimes has wall display frames in different sizes and colors that go well together so that you don’t have to spend so much time looking for individual frames on your own.

Portraits. Thing about colors and what will go well together. I decided I was doing color – no black and white. One shelf I did baby pictures of the girls. Another I displayed beach pictures of the girls and my parents. Another, fall pictures of the girls.

Over time I added little things here and there – cute signs from Hawaii where the girls and my family visit, scripture, etc. Choose items that are meaningful to you. Choose items that bring you joy.

Please know that this takes a lot of time and planning but in the end it is so worth all the work!!! Your family will feel love and joy every time they look at your display!

Note: The awesome thing about this display is that you can switch out portraits over the years to change it up a little!

AND, I installed the shelves myself. If I can do it, so can you! All you need is a level, a pencil, and a power drill. You’ve got this!!!!

Hi friends! I am an accredited portrait photographer who specializes in helping women to feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful in front of my camera. I would be honored to be your photographer.
